It is possible to have a clean driving record with no car accidents or other infractions, but it is not possible to drive through life without injury. Why are we surprised when someone hurts our feelings, and why do we tend to default to suspicion and resentment? Simple. We have forgotten that we are all sinful. The next time you are injured by a people-accident, remember that forgiveness is the best course. Want forgiveness? Grant it freely. For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. (Matt. 6:14-15)
