It is postulated that time, the whole of all things in existence - TopicsExpress

It is postulated that time, the whole of all things in existence both known and unknown, does not flow in the manner we perceive it (a series of moments passing sequentially in front of one another to form a linear path from point A to point B and beyond) but, instead, is a scattered grouping of points on a single plane (like pencil marks on an infinitely-large piece of paper). This theory was brought to my attention and I had a rare and uplifting thought. Recall the happiest moment in your life. Perhaps it was the birth of a child or the first award you earned as a child, running around wildly at home waving some brilliant, blue ribbon like a victory flag. It may have been hearing the engine turn over the first time you drove your first car or that day the world was relentlessly beating at you and when all seemed lost the person you love most in the world came in, all smiles and brilliance, wearing the shirt you liked and held your favorite take-out in hand simply because they were thinking of you and wanted to do something nice. It may be a moment you are, yet, unaware of. Somewhere years into the future you sit beside your wife of what seems something between ten seconds and a hundred years, length depending on the day, and youre oldest grandchild brings your first great-grandchild to meet you. In that moment, shakily holding the same hand youve held a million times before and never reaching the limit, seeing the wonderful family youve built and recalling all of the love and light and joy that has filled you to bursting, a genuine sense of peace and happiness washes over you. If time is a random assortment of particles forming a single level, then these moments are not some distant past left long ago and hidden from us. They are not some obscure future we are longing to reach anxiously and seemingly never going to touch. These possible points of radiance and wonder exist just beyond what our mind can comprehend, indefinitely replaying on loop throughout the whole of everything, right beside us at all times. Just beyond our reach but constantly there are the happiest times we will ever know, always beside us. The point: no matter how abysmal and dark the world becomes, how viscous and horrid the people around us can be, no matter who dislikes you, who hurts your feelings or breaks your heart, how often you fail and stumble farther from those things you hold dear, no matter how depressing and bleak life may seem... there is always some miraculous and wonderful happening outside the boundaries of your base senses, right beside you, even if you cant recognize it exists.
