It is presented as wrong to say it in America (or at least it has been for the last 30+ years), but I think it is past time to ask: when is enough wealth and power enough? For instance the Koch brothers are billionaires many times over, yet they are pumping millions into Generation Opportunity, a front that they are using to try to convince college students to go without health insurance. These multi-billionaires never need to fear running out of money to cover their own health concerns, but they are paying millions to try to get others to do without healthcare and then, if God forbid, the person gets sick or injured, the Koch brothers will just shrug and call the easily treatable illness that the young uninsured person cannot pay to cure, a small price to pay for freedom. Is there any point at which it becomes embarrassing and politically costly to support policies that actively harm the vast majority of Americans in order to benefit those who are already obscenely wealthy?
