It is really helpful to look at conjunctions when reading the Bible during our devotions to see the context and what those verses were reading are actually saying: >Words like but, however, nevertheless, and yet reflect a relationship of contrast with what preceded it. (ex, Romans 5:6-8) >Words like if or whoever reflect a conditional relationship. (Ex, Hebrews 3:14) >Words like also, likewise, and in the same way reflect a relationship of comparison. (Ex, Matthew 7:2) >Words like therefore, thus, and so then reflect a cause and effect relationship. (Ex, Deut 29:26, 27) >Words like now, immediately, when, before, after, and during reflect a temporal relationship. (Ex, Matthew 14:26, 27) >Words like where and from reflect a geographical relationship. (Ex, Luke 4:1, 2 ) As it had been taught to me, the right way to approach the Bible is to 1) Read; 2) Study; 3) Apply. Our primary reason for studying the Bible is to discover Gods will and obey it. HAPPY BIBLE-READING TO ALL! :) P. S. If you have any tip on how you do your devotion/Bible reading/prayer, feel free to share...
