It is really interesting when you are trying to orchestra a huge rescue such as the two the Sanctuary has been involved in lately concerning cats in peril, Buck Creek Park and Paris mobile home park, that there are groups and individuals who truly step up and help and groups who do little and attach themselves to the effort. So many wonderful followers have stepped up to donate and offer to take cats from these two rescue efforts and Calico TNR is, as always there at the front to help . And then there are those that as far as I can see have done nothing except put this in the Sanctuarys lap to handle now stepping up to lay claim to participation and list themselves as involved in getting this done.. If they truly want to help that is great; come up with homes, donations, physical work to pull this huge last minute effort together. But until I see or hear of something positive actually being done, I would ask them to stop making themselves peacocks by using the Sanctuarys feathers. This is something that really irritates me. The Sanctuary would never step up and lay claim to some other rescues groups hard work and efforts. I do not need praise for what I do, but REALLY do not attach your group to an effort by listing yourself as a major part of a rescue you have no part in except to tell the Sanctaury about the need in hopes it will be handled. DO NOT TALK THE TALK IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO WALK THE WALK PLEASE. Okay I let that steam off, now I intend to go forth and not think about this silliness any more, there are lives to save and wonderful people and other hard working groups to partner with to do so and we will as always, move forward.
