It is really shameful After Delhi Gang rape case and the agitation that ensued Government in power did bring about a stern law against rape.But the recent Mumbai Gang rape case proves the point that the culprits are not afraid of law for the simple reason that Indian Police is so corrupt that they see it more as chance to make additional money.Now the accused will pay more for the case to be spoiled at investigation level.No less a person than Supreme Court of India has recently lamented that the conviction rate for Rape cases is less than 10 percent in other words 90 percent of the accused come out laughing after scarring a girl for life.This can happen only is a country like India.In any other country with a women being raped every 4 hours there would have been peoples uprising. A country which can not protect its 480 million women folk can only be called a Banana Republic.The big question is why no action is taken against police officers who spoil the investigation. why the fast track courts have not been set up in a hurry?
