It is sad and unfortunate how our citizens in Taraba State have been persistently politicizing the issue of power tussle in the state. Danbaba this! Danbaba that! Garba Umar UTC this! Garba Umar UTC that! It is a pity and pathetic at this age in time when the world is going digital, Taraba people are still thinking of whether it is a Muslim or a Christian that should be the Governor of the state. How embarrassing this shallow outlook of life is in this era of globalization. The problem with the majority of Tarabians is lack of exposure. Who should be talking about Islam or Christianity when the entire state basically lacks infrastructure if not a fool. We stand to challenge our fellow citizens to travel around; starting from Gombe State, through to Jigawa State, up to Kano State and Katsina, and see for themselves what the Governors are doing for their people. And we are here shouting religion when the bulk of us dont practice what we preach! Enough is Enough of this political rif-rafs! If Mr. Suntai comes back fine; if he is incapacitated, then the Acting Governor should continue, period. The constitution is there, what is the point of the dispute. And our Acting Governor should please rise up to his civic responsibilities and face administration with serious determination and stop hiding behind the pretext that he is continuing what his boss started because the state allocation is not Mr. Suntais personal money. He should get to work because there is a lot to be done and time is moving. To start with, the state capital Jalingo itself is an eye sore because there is no modernization of any sort going on any where. No construction of bridges no nothing; none of the street lights is functioning at night as a result the capital is dark. Most of Jalingo is its old self, and is little more than a local government in another state. The Acting Governor should do away with the analogue advisers around him and rogue politicians singing his praises because they are the same bunch since the days of Gov Nyame. They are of no good to the state. We have tried them time and again and they have yielded nothing to us. It is even disappointing that we have a commissioner that cant read and write well, in this digital era. Haba Taraba! It is high time he employs graduates and qualified young experts to advise him on policies to formulate and subsequently implement to bring about the effective change we so desperately need. THIS IS OUR DREAM IN TARABA STATE
