It is sad that this has become so normal to hear of this bank settlement or that one that people now accept that as the norm and that these people can just do as they please and its seemingly OK? Well, I dont think its OK and you shouldnt either. Too big to fail in 2008 and then we let them become even bigger and now theyre also too big to jail as well. Why is there such apathy in this country? I place a lot of the blame on our mainstream, corporate owned and controlled media that just doesnt give it the attention it deserves. They are all in it together these days because money has become more important in this country then anything, or anyone else. We seemingly no longer care about people who are suffering. In fact in some cities they deal with the impoverished and homeless by passing laws almost making them criminals. Its no wonder our prisons are overflowing. Some even try to get arrested just to get health care. We spout democratic principles to the rest of the world and pretend we are still a democracy, but we are not. We sold out our democracy a long time ago to the highest bidders. I run into people who just dont care, dont vote, dont want to vote, dont want to register to vote, dont want to even listen cause they just flat out care more about which sports team wins this or that, or what the celebrities are doing these days then what is going on in this country. As we celebrate Labor Day, just remember why we even have a holiday called Labor Day.
