It is sad to learn this evening of the passing of Dave Brady in the boat fire at the Causeway on Monday night. Deepest sympathy to Daves family and friends. I met Dave around ten years ago when I did some work for him helping him as he embarked upon his retirement dream to restore the old historic boat Kate Dave had a professional background in architecture , was pleasant and honorable to deal with he always took time since to look out for and talk to my children. Dave has fallen on hard times in recent years and we are fortunate to live in a community that embraces those in need. Sunset and evening star, And one clear call for me! And may there be no moaning of the bar, When I put out to sea, But such a tide as moving seems asleep, Too full for sound and foam, When that which drew from out the boundless deep Turns again home. Twilight and evening bell, And after that the dark! And may there be no sadness of farewell, When I embark; For tho from out our bourne of Time and Place The flood may bear me far, I hope to see my Pilot face to face When I have crost the bar.
