It is said by many top thinkers that humans are naturally filling this endless void of emptiness. If thats so, something is then clearly missing in human existence. A purpose. Instead of solving the problem, we avoid it by filling it with entertainment and unnecessary luxuries. So we have this curse over us which comes from a lack of a purpose; and consequently, it results in a bottomless appetite. The void. Animals who have found their purpose flourish in their environment, without human touch. We seem to think we flourish with cities meaning we cant flourish in nature but away from nature. That attitude seem to assume that nature is evil because it is not easy to hunt, gather, shelter ourselves, etc... we want an easy life that supplies an endless appetite. We wouldnt want these luxuries if we were the ones who had to make them from scratch. With this curse over our heads, living in cities creates crime, war and hierarchy. So the fact that we flourish in cities is not true if these things exist. This curse makes the top thinkers assume that we are like animals. That cities are cages to dangerous beasts. The more you group people like that together, the higher the conflict rate is. But if were like animals, is it not ironic that we cannot seem to live in nature like animals do. They do not only live but they flourish. We think they are intellectually primitive yet they beat us to realizing their purpose. They flourish, we have to create our own environment; that is, a city, town, village, homes, etc. We can either conclude that we have yet found our role in nature from this missing piece that created this void. That our intelligence has disrupted our bodies instinctual signals that subconsciously tells us our purpose (like animals). Or perhaps we are just aliens that dont belong here that hitched a ride on an asteroid and we are a virus that needs to transform into a harmony with our host. Either way, an element is missing for humans to flourish.
