It is said that President Zuma admitted that the ANC was in trouble. I am not sure how true this is but if its true then I am afraid the trouble is even bigger than I anticipated. The ANC, a liberation movement, a revolutionary vanguard of society, of course this must be true, the ANC is indeed in trouble. Is it something new? Was there ever a time when the ANC was not in trouble? Does it not follow that once yours becomes a revolutionary journey, trouble is second nature? Is it even proper wording to refer to what we are experiencing as trouble? Could this mean at no stage in our history were we expirience this trouble? Leadership I disagree with this newly found terminology and this newly arrived at critical thinking. Since its inception the ANC has had to navigate with caution grounds that were highly protected by imperial interests to get what it wanted. There has never been a time when the ANC was never under threat of retaliation by those whose interests it threatened. It is only recently that some of its leaders were refered to with respect otherwise they have been designated terrorists and high alert was placed on their presence. This kind of trouble was increased with the formation of MK in 60, the very trouble that saw ANC leaders serving time in various prisons. The same trouble that saw the fall of the rand when the first democratically elected president of the country did not agree to be bullied into disassociation with long standing allies of the ANC during its struggle for liberation. This trouble has always been with the ANC, like any other liberation movement that gets into power, it too was given the twenty maximum years threshold of being in power, afterwards a new dilution will take over, and this is what commissars all over have been preaching. When OR gave a speech of the Wedge driver, the ANC was in trouble. The decision to disband MK, was not an easy dicision but we never saw ours as trouble but we always understood the difference of
