It is seriously sad when we all have the same goal, the same passion to help these horses, yet no matter what you do, someone will attack you. Insult you for doing what you can to help. Its crazy to think that these people are actually getting mad at you for saving a horse. Shouldnt it be the opposite??!! Until the backyard breeders stop, the over production of racehorses stop, the constant dump of horses at these meat places will go on. Its harsh, its horrible. But in a way, I would rather see them be put out of their misery quick then left in a field to starve slowly and suffer for months. That is torture, THAT is a fate worse than death. I hate the industry. I do not hate the dealers. They have to make a living and they save horses from suffering in a field. I hate the irresponsible owners who dont so the right thing and put down their lame Horse. No one has unlimited pockets. Youre going to be outbid. So move on and try for the next. If I sat her and dwelled and ranted on every horse I was outbid on, I would never be able to help the next. That being said, we need to stop them going to auction to start with. We did that with a lovely little filly who I would never have known lived around the corner from me if a Facebook friend hadnt shared it to me. Thats how we have to do this. Ensures safety, and no worry about losing the horse. I dont understand why we all seem to have to fight each other!!!! Stop hiding behind your computers and get out and do something or sit down and shut up. The goal is to hell the horses. Not belittle each other over social media. We all have different opinions but the same goal and if we actually put aside those differences, how many more could we save?
