It is so cold outside this morning. How cold is it? LOL try 3 degrees! And inside the furnace can barely keep up at 64 degrees. So its warm oatmeal and tea for breakfast. The flock will be getting just the oatmeal part of the morning meal. No tea for them, lol. Dreams of spring planting and baby peeps helps to keep me warm. It is getting busy around her. BIL severely sprained his ankle and will be laid up for awhile. He usually shares the chores over at MILs house, and helps care for her every other day. So we will be doing taking care of her full time till he is healed up. Not such a bad thing, this is really showing us how much we need to get her moved in her if for no other reason than convenience for us. I mean just today. After work I have to get some grocery shopping done for both homes, hers and ours, then stop in and care for her, then home to put away our groceries and tuck in the flock. By the time I get to tuck in the flock it will likely be 8pm or later, then its time for a shower and bed cause hubby gets up at 4:30am for work. Some of our flock, about 15 birds have stubbornly refused to roost in either one of the coops and continues their summer habit of roosting in the covered run area under basically a tent. So each night that it is below freezing I have to go out and put them all onto roosts inside the small coop. Stubborn birds! So that is the update from here.
