It is so cold today, it seems odd to post this now, but usually the hot temps would be coming soon, so, Im being optimistic! Dogs bake from the inside out when left in cars on warm days. Bad things can happen internally without any outward sign. It can happen with the windows cracked. It can happen on a cloudy day. It can happen within minutes. It can happen when it is not even that hot out. It happens faster to small dogs. Some will suffer without outward signs. Some will progress to heat stroke. Some will die. Imagine the panic and anxiety a dog feels when its body is telling it to escape, to get air, to get water, and it is trapped in the car. Happens every summer. Lets do all we can to keep all the dogs safe out there. (Not to mention that dogs are stolen from vehicles all the time!) ---Renee
