It is strange how Steve Job and I have seems to have a certain affinity in a long distance way. I love iPhone and iPad. And once I figured out how to use iPhone in 2010 that I could not stop marvel at how it has changed my life. I simply could not help but stare adoringly at it for hours and hours. To my horror, I was slapped with a $500 phone bill in one of those early months. The scariest thing in a mini mishap would be realizing that I have forgotten my phone and the second scariest thing that send me into frantic mood would be a low batt phone. A year later after I discovered iPhone, Mei Mei was born, on the day Steve Job passed away. It was such important day of my life but was bittersweet at the same time. As I read his biography, I blamed him for not heeding doctors advice to treat it the conventional way and prolong his life. Pancreatic cancer is hard to detect and usually when diagnosed has only 4% of survival rate. Yet he was diagnosed with a rare form of slow growing pancreatic cancer where only 1% of pancreatic cancer patient is diagnosed with. This rare form of cancer nature has already given him a miracle and a second lease of life yet he did not treat it the best way possible. Apple lost its Icon and the world lost a genius on 5th Oct 2011. In 2014, I came to know of a man and his innovative business idea hybrid with an unheard business model in the gaming industry. He aims to be the Steve Job in Asia with a 3rd App Store, (we called it G store). Born and breed Singaporean, winner of Asia Pacific Entrepreneur Award 2012, Mr. Ivan Lee is only 39 this year. The company, a mere start-up of 5 months has crossed the million dollar mark, spanning over 5 countries. Mr Jonanthan Ng, CEO and Co-founder of Gtoken has signed contract with President Commissioner of Tiphone Mobile Indonesia Billionaire Forbes Mr Hengky Setiwan on the development of G phone, with prototype already out. 29 Nov 2014, this historical event will yet mark another milestone of my distance affinity with Steve Job and the man whose vision is to be the Asians version of him. Gtokens grand opening on this day will reveal Mr Ivan Lees dream and vision so grand that Singapore has not heard for the longest time. Being a pioneer in this business, my life has never been the same again. It will be a fully packed event that will make a mark in Singapore history. Friends, here is your last to rub shoulders with Billionaires. ( The catch is I am not sure if I still can take in any more RSVP but you still can try to reach me. )
