It is that time of the year when Somalia stakeholders have surplus budget to spend and they have run out of projects to spend money on. They, of course, dont want to return the money back to donors. So you ask, what do they do with the extra cash? Well, they organise well publicised conferences/forums and spend the money staying in expensive hotels and dining on delicious chef-cooked meals. Thats not it. To justify the their expenses they then release slick communiques that have no impact whatsoever on the lives of the average Somali! More than ten such gatherings are been held for Somalia between September - December. Maryooley Illahay aya u maqan!
