It is the last straw. Last night I spotted a friends post saying that foreigners who work in Singapore should be reminded that they allowed them to have a job and salary so foreigners should be grateful that they have the benefits of employment. This is not taken verbatim because the post is in worse language than what I wrote. No matter where in a world, every country has foreigners. There are plenty of Singaporeans who work in overseas too. I cannot believe that the same friend who were super friendly during poly and college days ended up being a xenophobic. Very disappointed that maturity does not come with education and age. Thats not the worst. I even see comments that JB will die poor if Singaporeans did not buy their property or spend their dollars in here. Let me remind friends that majority of my relatives are Singaporeans, I have been in Singapore for many years. I get paid for my efforts and I pay my taxes, be in income, expenditures or house ownership. A citizenship, a passport, a land deed is just paper. Stop being narrow minded. From now on, I will delete friends or relatives who make negative comments like this. I dont need to know your negativity and self entitled ego. Next time when you run into trouble in Malaysia, dont call me, just flash your entitled passport. Thanks.
