It is this simple. When I schedule two days off, one to catch up with sleep, and the second to be fully present for my child, and I do this a month in advance, the answer to everything not in that days plans is going to be, no. Multiple people attempted to plan over yesterday. I am sorry if anyone felt offended, but people should really ask before making assumptions about plans around the holidays. I personally feel incredibly hurt when I have to schedule a day with my child, who lives with me, a month in advance, and multiple people make assumptions about that time, attempt to undermine it, and try in any way to guilt me out of it. We had a wonderful day, and I have no regrets.
