It is through many troubles we are to enter the kingdom of God, but enter we shall as surely as our hope is in Christ. Be of good cheer for He has overcome the world. None can stop Him. The Prince of Persia could not stop Him, nor Hitler, nor Alexander the Great, nor the Roman Empire, nor the mass Media, nor the Communist Party, nor the Secular Society, nor the New Atheists, nor Sodom and Gomorrah, nor the builders of the Tower of Babel, nor the Heretics, nor any false religion, nor any sect, nor any intellectual movement, nor any government, nor any persecution, nor any power from hell itself. And I suppose one could spend hours and hours writing the names of individuals and groups and movements and religions that would have knowingly or not put an end to the glory of Christ but they couldnt nor will anyone or any movement ever do it. SO, BE OF GOOD CHEER FOR HE HAS OVERCOME THE WORLD. Why did He ever take any of humanity into His kingdom? Because of His infinite love, that underlies everything else he did or does to save sinners who do not deserve to be saved. To the most vitriolic human enemy of Christ and everyone else we say, you will never defeat Him but you can by Gods grace change sides and reign with Him. John Ross
