It is time that we stand up for our rights. For years we have - TopicsExpress

It is time that we stand up for our rights. For years we have sat back and done nothing as the Government continues to discriminate against us and charge us nearly twice as much as other road users. We are over represented in motorcycle crash statistics, which the Government uses to prove to the public that we are a scourge upon society. With the recent announcement by ACC, reporting that they are in surplus and promising levy reductions of up to 40% for road users, except for motorcyclists, it is now that we must stand together and take a stand for our rights. MAG - New Zealand - Is working to bring a fair levy rate for motorcyclists across the country, but they need your help. In order to make our point heard, we need to come together as one and take a collective stand against this discrimination. On November the 8th, MAG has organised a park up in Newmarket, Auckland. The idea is to fill each parking space with a motorcycle and make a peaceful protest. We will be handing out fliers on the day to make the public aware as to why we are protesting. If you are sick of paying up to $520 a year for the right to ride a motorcycle as opposed to $290 for a car, then now is your chance to be heard. Come along and have a coffee in Newmarket and become part of the protest. You can choose to sit at home or sleep in, but what will that accomplish? The only way that we can make a change is if we show that we are willing to come together and stand collectively. Please share this event with your friends and post it on pages where you think this needs to be seen. Thank you for your time and we hope to see you in Newmarket. Kind regards, NZMR
