It is time to put our pledge as Singaporeans true to the words: regardless of RACE, LANGUAGE or RELIGION. The basis of Democracy is about being able to practice our different cultures, faiths and religions freely without any fear of oppression or loss of income opportunities. Wearing headscarves or hijabs are mandatory for practicing Muslim women just as it is compulsory for our Singh friends to keep their turbans. Common Space have to be shared with mutual respect without any form of prejudice or discrimination. The Tripartite Alliance for Fair Employment Practices(TAFEP) was set up in 2007 to promote a fair and merit-based employment practices for the general public in an effort to stem out any form of discrimination at work.
