The New Moon in Libra. The seventh sign of the Zodiac brings the time to set your intentions for everything you would like to bring into balance. Each New Moon is like a chapter in a book. This is the 9th New Moon of the year. The year began on January 1st with a New Moon in Capricorn joined with Pluto opposing Jupiter in Cancer and square to Uranus in Aries and Mars in Libra. What a beginning to this year which we will call the book of 2014. After nine months of a roller coaster ride and lots of growth that has put us through experiences we can now strive for balance. The signal to make plans to solve differences with others and restore peace in your life. This New Moon in Libra hosts Mercury retrograde from early Scorpio back through Libra helping pick up the pieces. Mercury goes retrograde October 4th through the 25th. Libra is the sign that gives us the power to relate to others. Beauty, balance, harmony, equality, and justice are important where this is in your chart. This New Moon will let us know where we need to bring things into balance. What about relationships? Are we being fair? Is this area one-sided? All lessons of Libra involve the realization and integration of opposites, particularly those contrasts found within personal relationships. The primary purpose of this sign is one of sharing—sharing ideas, sharing experiences, sharing your life—with others. We are still under the influence of Uranus in Aries in a First Quarter Square relationship with Pluto in Capricorn. Pluto is dominating the square making us an offer we cannot refuse. Pluto in Capricorn wants us to clear away what we have grown out of to create the space for Uranus in Aries to bring in the new energy. New leadership is needed to build a new foundation as required by this aspect. Our lives need to be healthier and more organic! Venus, the ruler of this lunation, is in Virgo where Uranus and Pluto began their cycle in 1966. This is the first big step in this cycle to integrate better habits into our lifestyle. Uranus and Pluto will remain in this exact square through March 2015. This is an opportunity, while this energy is in force, for you to move mountains. It isn’t easy though. It has been operating out of that sign for two years and we will be enjoying it for almost another year. Saturn will not return to Scorpio for 29/30 years. Here again, you need to take advantage of this timing. Saturn in Scorpio wants us to clean up after ourselves, get our finances under control, and enjoy deeper relationships.
