It is today a decade, still fresh in our minds Today mark the tenth year my lovely father departed this sinful world. Prince Tinuoye John Adeyemi, the man who came, saw and conquered. Dad, you were so great. You were too open. I am yet to meet a man as honest and disciplined like you. You taught us honesty and wont mind rebuking us publicly each time we tell lies. You hated lies with passion . But as young people, we would tell lies, we always get caught by your detective nature and the koboko is always there to serve us the required judgement. We hated the honest life you wanted us to live as a kid. But today, we are most grateful for the teachings. You were loving, caring and sympathetic in nature. You loved your community, Omuaran with great passion and you encouraged us to do same. I cannot forget all the stories (ijapa Oko yanibo. Baba tekoko) you used to tell us to drive home a point. A man of letters. Jovial, lively, highly principled, fashionable and generous. You were our father and the same time our mother. You played this dual role in our lives. You will cry whenever we go wrong. You forced me back to school. You threatened to disown me if I refused to be educated. Dad, due to my state of mind at the moment, I lack the right words to describe you. But one thing stands you out, you were wonderful and one in a billion a father. You taught us to tread the path of truth even if we were the only one on the road. You encouraged us to be bold, courageous and stand to fight a cause we believed in. Your words are: what is worth believing is worth dying for. Today, its exactly a decade that we lost you but your legacies lives on... We have decided to remained in that path you encouraged us to maintained. Today, you are surely missed by the Areyin ruling house of Okeesha Omuaran, and all who encountered you when you were alive. The truth is, your space in the family is still irreplaceable after a decade. You are the best father in the world. If it is possible, in my next world, I will still come through you. Even in death you are great. May your gentle soul continue to rest in peace. We miss you Dad!
