It is touching to see all of the outpouring of sentiment and support for this young Hamilton man. I hope this bond that was created amongst Canadians in the midst of this tragedy doesnt get lost, but grows and strengthens our community; wiping out the true enemies of bullying, ignorance, prejudice and poverty. In Hamilton, I witnessed a community rally around a life that for many are tied only by citizenship; teaching our kids a valuable lesson...there is no us and them any more, there is just us, and asking the rhetorical question what are we going to do to make the world a better place for the the future of the Marcus Cirillos of the World? In this life we might not get answers to the tragedy of this week, but everyday you are commissioned to be the answer to the despairing question, Is there any Hope in the World left?! You can be that HOPE for someone through a SMILE, HUG or HANDSHAKE. It is said, Be the CHANGE you want to see in this World...dont propagate Hate, Fear, and Distrust-but rather be an Agent of Change through UNDERSTANDING, FORGIVENESS, and PEACE flowing from a heart of Love for All. Please STOP and take a moment and give thanks for this great country and for all its Leaders, who some of them, their lives were in true jeopardy just showing up for work as our representatives this week. Make it a regular practice to go up and say a word of thanks to those Military servicemen and women, police, firefighters, medical personnel, etc. who work to preserve life and maintain our freedom and quality of life we enjoy. Lets all move forward into next week with a resolve to not let this mans death not be in vain, but create a ripple effect that creates a Tsunami of Respect, Kindness, and Prosperity for All.
