It is tremendously important for us as Christians to never ever get so caught up in the preachers personality that we miss the mark in what authentic discipleship is about. The song says dont exalt the preacher and dont exalt the pew. I NEVER wanna be so ego based and driven that I miss the trust purpose of pastoring. Jim Jones killed many for just simply drinking the kool aid. To all bible based believers I urge you to know the ingredients before you drink a poisonous substance based on a frivolous promise. Preachers are people and as a preacher I dont want to be the object of anyones worship for God is a jealous God. Lets point them to the kingdom and not to our egotistical motives. I need a business partner. Kingdom business.
