It is true that confidence in what you do (surgery in my case) and maturity in how you handle every undesirable situations will improve over the years of experience and continuing education in your field of specialty. I say this because people often ask me bakit ba attend ka ng attend ng courses, clinic time lost yan. Yes, clinic time lost but more knowledge gained. One of my mentors, dr. Jose Acuin taught me to always add up to what I know because medicine is a continuous learning process. And that is how I chose to live by as a practicing surgeon.
