It is true that you can do very little to control the actions of corporate America. Their actions are determined by their shareholders. But, you directly effect, “locally owned” businesses and their ability to provide jobs and support for your community. Any person effected by or concerned with a corporate factory closing, must find it difficult to spend money with say a Lowes, Wal-Mart, Advanced Auto Parts or O’Reilly Auto parts. Why would they want to send their money out of town to another shareholder?
