It is truely amazing what a brain injury can do. Greg has done quite well with his physical and occupational therapy, which is why he is able to go home Friday. The longest to recover and the hardest to see with the naked eye is the cognitive skills. One of the things the doctor has highly stressed to me is how a lot of activity/noise can become overwhelming for Greg. He can get headaches, anxious, upset and very confused. Doctor said visitors should be scheduled so that hes not overwhelmed and he gets the naps/rest he will need as he returns to home life. So I am asking that you PLEASE arrange any visits with me. We also must remember that he is still needing another surgery for his right cartoid artery, as his is still at a strong risk for a stroke until repaired.
