It is truly humbling to meet people who touches your heart at the most unexpected time and circumstance. I would not be able to post this if not for real angels who simply would not give up just to help me. About an hour ago, I realized that I lost my IPad while waiting for my flight to Manila. Age indeed is catching up on me when I forgot my ipad placed right beside my backpack on my way to the check-in counter. By the time I remembered it, someone already picked it up and no where to be found. Instinctively, my mind immediately recalled every individual and each face that I came in contact with or those who were around me at least 10meter radius. Through years of practice, I can instantly identify and remember type of clothes and colors, gender, body built, bags or other implements of those sorrounding specially those on my blind side. I then proceeded with the help of an airport security officer in approaching those that I remember. In a span of 20mins, we were able to talk to, ask and inquire 16 individuals I remembered. But only 4 of them could remember seeing my ipad beside my backpack but could not remeber if I indeed left it. As I assessed my predicament further I asked the officer if we could take a look at the cctvs and at the very least see who picked it up. While I was busy asking the 16 individuals, I called my wife to inform her of what happened. Thats the scariest part of these experience. You wouldnt want to be at the receiving end of her tounge lashing, hehe! Fortunately, she was very calm and told me to check my my backpack. As we scanned theough the cctv footages, I instinctively again marked 2 time frames and 2 individuals. But the shots were so far that I could barely recognized their faces. Yet I remember both young men standing at 5 oclock 3mins before I left for the check in counter. With the security officer in tow, i proceeded to the waiting lounge to look for them. At this point in time, I had it announced through PA that I lost my ipad and whoever saw, might want to return it to the information counter. Beyond our knowledge, these two young men were already at the security office 20mins. ago to return my ipad. They waited for me to come when we got a radio call from the security control. All these time the security officer was with me and patiently assisted every request I made. The young men were all smiles when I got to see them telling that me that they have to pick it up when the lounge chair was emptied during our check in. They thought of the owner, careless me, who must have been so distraught by now. Again, these three individuals have been angels sent from above this day. My hats off to Officer Liezel who tirelessly assited me...Thank you very much mam. To Fred Balaba, who patiently waited for me to arrive and claim my ipad and Gerry. Really grateful for your kindness and honesty. I am truly humbled by your sincerity to return my ipad and refusing my reward. Good luck to both of you on you job overseas as scuba diving instructors. You guys are rare gems, God bless you!
