It is, unbelievably, beautiful sunny weather here in Northern Ireland so we are all out enjoying the sun and lounging in the garden, a rare, but most enjoyable experience. It reminded me that when I listed the family members a while back I forgot one, namely ‘Lauren Mohair ‘. You’ll remember she lives in the shed and we all hate her with a passion. She never gets out in the rain and as it’s Ireland it rains a lot so we had almost forgotten about her. But today the sun shone and Dad went to the shed and let her lose. As usual she growled her way around the garden eating anything in her path and dragging Dad along behind. We got a bit of a laugh this time though. We dogs poop in the grass and as there are four of us it can be a bit of a poop minefield after a day or two. Dad always goes around and picks them up before he feeds ‘Lauren’ but the grass was so long today we noticed he missed a few. We watched carefully as ‘Lauren’ approached the hidden poops and waited for her reaction when she ate one. What did she do? She gobbled them up like they were a side dish and just continued munching happily at the grass. That is one sick animal. She also ate half of Lucy’s favourite 3ft stick and I thought Luce was going to blow a gasket but as usual ‘Lauren’ completely ignored her and continued stuffing her oversized belly while Lucy barked and bounced around her in a demented state. We are going to have to call a meeting to get rid of that thing before it eats one of us, or worse still, with Mum and Dad being such softies she gets to sleep up in the bed with the rest of us. If that ever happens I’m moving out. Might even try and get the ‘ginger feckers’ on side for that one. It will stick in my throat but sometimes needs must……….
