It is very sad indeed that Robin Williams, one of my favourite actors, should leave this world at this time and by his own hands. I am not one to judge, and there are people that will even praise his courage, not cowardice, in ending his suffering, but whatever side of the argument you are on, Robin Wiliams was one of the funniest men that have lived and even when he played serious roles, he still managed to make people laugh. It is a great irony of course and we have seen it so many times, that a person who gives so much joy to the world privately endures a life of unhappiness and pain. Robin probably thought it was funny sticking the fingers in the eyes of depression by going this way, but we are not laughing. Rest in peace, man.
