It is with a heavy heart that I inform you that our dog Buddy died this evening from heart failure. He had a cardiac incident last fall, spent 5 days at Dove Lewis in Portland, and went home with us thinking he had three months to live. Here were are, 9 months to the week later. We knew we were on borrowed time with our handsome boy, and I feel absolutely blessed to have so much extra time with him. He was loyal, loving, playful, honest and such a lover. Anyone who has ever met my little Buddy Foo Foo can tell you how great it was to have him jump on your lap and just beg for a kiss and belly rub. Buddy was my friend. I met him at a transitional point In my life, and, despite my rough times, he was always available for a kiss and a snuggle. He raised my spirits, elevated my soul, and I will miss him dearly. He was one of a kind, and, while I know well get another dog at some point, well never get another Buddy. Goodbye for now handsome boy. Ill see you on the other side of The Bridge my friend. Ill have peanut butter, hot dogs, and an endless bag of pine cones to throw for you. I love you my Little Black Dog.
