It is with a heavy heart that I must officially announce the closing of Martial Arts Unlimited in Michigan. After more than 20 years of teaching and training here, we are shutting the doors and moving on to new adventures. I would first like to thank my beautiful wife Malasri who has supported me so fully on this path, in both rough times and smooth sailings. Additionally I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the following wonderful people: Sifu David and Simo Lynda Hatch who have been my mentors and taught me more about the arts and life than I could have ever hoped. All of my many instructors including Guro Dan Inosanto, Ajarn Chai Sirisute, Sifu Francis Fong, Sensei Erik Paulson, Professor Salem Assli, Professor Marcello C. Monteiro, Ajarn Steve Wilson, Pak Herman and Ibu Rita Suwanda, Sifu Larry Hartsell, Tuhon Bill McGrath, Punong Guro Edgar Sulite, Sifu Rick Faye and most recently a teacher who inspires me to greater depth Professor Roberto Torres. I respectfully salute you all. To all of my students who have accompanied me on my path as a teacher I thank you for taking the time to trust me with your training. I know it is not easy to put your development in the hands of others and I am grateful for the chance to have helped in some small way. Special thanks to Victor Gojcevic, Mike Sheppard, Zeyiad Elias, Danielle Zarzyki, Brad Munger, Ron Thielman, Craig Sobe, and all those who were with me in the early years. To Chey Harden, Tracy Dawson, Jeff Lopes and Alec Celmer who continued to stick it out with me even when things were difficult. Your support has been ever heartwarming. To my fellow martial arts instructors Dan Cousineau and Dan Allen for providing a traditional backbone of integrity and honor to a community that can sometimes lack in both. I shall miss my friends and family here but am looking forward to this new adventure my lovely wife and I are about to embark on. I am pleased that I will have left some legacy behind in the programs that continue on here through my current and former students. Please continue to follow this page as we transition to the next phase of our lives, which will include a new and exciting chapter in martial arts coming soon! Details to follow... If you have any specific questions please feel free to send me a private message and I will get back to as soon as time allows. My very best wishes to all my friends, students and training partners. Thanks for everything. Discipline Hurts Less Than Regret
