It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of a pioneer in human space flight. Dieter Grau who gave the final yes to fly to the moon on July 20th, 1969 died today at the age of 101. He was the oldest member of the von Braun Rocket Team. Dieter was a very dear friend & at the ground floor at the NASAs Marshall Space Flight Center as its first director of Quality Control. Trust me, he left this world still expecting quality! He now is in a familiar place where humans may one day return. Miss you, D
