It is with an extremely heavy heart that I share the passing of our fellow friend, coach, teammate, mentor, and business partner Robert M. Kaupp, also known to many of us as Coach Kaupp. So,.... where do i start.... Bob, most of all was a loving, caring, devoted father to his two children Bobby Jr. & Katie. He loved them more than life itself and would talk about them with me quite often. They were his reason for being. His soul. His WHY as he would say. Bob is also survived by his brother Matty, who is also a proud member of our Judge Football Family, and his sister. Matty was with Bob when he passed on to heaven from apparent heart failure. Bob was 65. I spoke to him on his birthday, August 17. Bob was a proud graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and played football for the Quakers. Bob grew up in Mayfair and went to St. Tims, then to Judge where he played offensive line, then to Penn where he also played college football. Upon graduating he coached and taught English, I believe, at several Phila Catholic High Schools including Arch Ryan and Bishop Newman. BOB ALSO LOVED FOOTBALL!!! Bob coached at Judge and was the Offensive Line Coach for Judges 1975 City Title Team on which his brother Matty played and earned First Team ALL Area Honors as the Middle Linebacker. In the 10 years from 1975 through 1984 Judge had first team All Catholic Offense Lineman in 8 of those years. Im pretty sure Coach Kaupp was responsible for some of that success. Bob was also the Head Coach at North Catholic High School and was Offensive Line Coach at Villanova University. Bob also coached high school football down here in Florida with Father Judge legend Bill Foley. Bob was also a Professional Sales Trainer and Coach and helped many people achieve success and staying positively motivated in Network Marketing. I was in most of those business with Bob and did not make much money, but certainly enjoyed his company, especially down here in Florida where we have both been living for about the last 20 years. We did just about all of the MLM businesses; Cambridge, Herballife, BioWater, Excel Phones, and Buyers Club. You name it, we tried it except for AMWAY, AVON, and Mary Kay Cosmetics. I joked to Bob that he would have been good at Mary Kay. He is probably showing St. Peter an MLM business plan right now. Rest in Peace my Brother. Please add your own Coach Kaupp story below.
