It is with an immense amount of pride that I can announce the safe arrival of our handsome son weighing in at 8lb4 and the wellbeing of his mother Laura Dargue. Hero is a term that i do not use lightly, but today, my wife Laura is my hero. Not only did she embrace 41 weeks of pregnancy with nothing but positivity; never once moaning, but following labour beginning on Thursday, today she endured a torturous 16 hour intensive labour with nothing more than a little gas and air. This wasnt due to it being a straight forward delivery; she had an ambulance transfer half way through, it was down to her unwavering self belief, determination and knowing not just her own mind but also her own body. She dealt with an unnecessary complication with a calm that only she knows and has ended the day with being respected by all that encountered her on our journey. I am honoured to have been part of her team and absolutely ecstatic to have a beautiful son. I love you both x
