It is with appreciation that we announce the departure of our previous Chair person, Margie Lagerwall. We thank her for many years’ commitment, hours of support and many more grey hairs. She served on the Management Committee for five years, at first as a general member, and then she was our esteemed Treasurer and lastly agreed to serve as an interim Chair person. She came to GDX as a person with accounting skills and helped us in to grow our own skills to a next level. Margie leaves Gender DynamiX, not only as a person with great accounting skills, but as an ally to trans-organising in South Africa and with a deep understanding of our daily work. Her resignation required the house to fill the vacancy. Vicky was nominated as the Chair person and she accepted. Treasurer position then opened up. Azania was nominated and she accepted. Deputy Chair person position opened up. Josh was nominated and he accepted. The secretary position was also vacant. At this meeting Alex was nominated as the secretary. We now have: Vicky – Chairperson Josh – Deputy Chairperson Azania – Treasurer Alex – Secretary Darryl – board member
