It is with deep regret that we have decided to close Mercato Market until further notice. Not an easy decision based on how much work we have put in and great friends we have met. We have been calling those who have signed up this weekend personally. The cost of running such a huge venture as you can imagine is very high and we simply could not get the vendor support we needed. We were working on an investor but just heard that will not work out in time for the weekend. The potential was obvious and those who came on Sunday really experienced what this market could become. To all our loyal vendors we thank you and will refund any payments for June. The negative comments did not help as it kept vendors and customers away when all we were trying to do was build something great for south jersey that would benefit everyone. If you know any vendors planning to come this weekend please let them know the doors are closed. If things should change we will be in touch.
