It is with great pleasure, and a bit of awe that I can report this evening that Will has been discharged from the emergency vet clinic, and is now officially in foster with Angie Winters... His care has been transitioned to her local vet where he will continue to be treated, until he is healthy, neutered and ready for a forever home! On the good side of things, the ulcer on his eye has healed!! On the worrisome side of things, he is still holding at 60.5 lbs tonight. BUT, food is staying down.. Everything is solid (if you catch my drift) and these are all great steps towards getting weight on this little mans frame!!! Donations from everyone insured that Will has the prescription, high calorie food he needs, as well as some special supplements to help strengthen him and put on weight. For the next two weeks Will has round the clock care with his foster who gets to work from home to be sure he has whatever he needs!!! Grace is still at the vet clinic (non emergency) and we are now actively looking for a foster in the Knoxville, TN area. She has started her HW treatment and is in good spirits tonight!! Thanks to everyone who continues to check on these babies!! I would never have thought that in one week he would be well enough to get to foster!!!! There are some amazing people in this world!
