It is with great sadness and broken hearts we need to let everyone know we had to let our beloved Stewie go. Our Little Man crossed over the Rainbow Bridge just before 2 pm EST. My husband and I stayed with him and he passed peacefully and without pain. The X-rays reveled several tumors in his pancreas (which was also enlarged and secreting insulin), kidney stones and his intestines were also enlarged and possibly inflamed. He was still combating his eye infection, exposed dental roots and a tumor in his ear. He had been throwing up bile and not having regular bowel movements despite the fact he was eating well. The doctors sedated him for the X-rays and we felt it was best to let him go while under the anesthetic; it would have been too cruel to revive him and then put him under again. We cannot thank everyone enough for all of your support, kind words and love youve show Stewie and my husband and I. We will forever be grateful. For the short time he was with us, his days were filled with cuddles, lots of love, good food and rest. We love you, Stewie! XO
