It is with great sadness that I learned from Jim James Peron that Nathaniel Branden passed away today. Beyond his work in Objectivism, he made a name for himself as the father of the modern self-esteem movement that today is a billion dollar industry I suspect. Through his books and conferences he no doubt touched many people. On a personal level, Connie Rounsaville and I are so proud to have the following video where I believe we were his last public therapy demonstration at the twilight of his wonderful life. This was important for Connie and I, because when we met Nathaniel, our initial honeymoon period was fading and we were beginning to have our first issues as a couple. He helped identify items that would require considerable work if we were to remain together. I will miss him as a man, as a therapist, and as a thinker.
