It is with great sadness that this will be Loumari’s last year - TopicsExpress

It is with great sadness that this will be Loumari’s last year of competitive racing. She had along chat with me just before the last Redstar Regional Race, and told me she wants to concentrate on her studying and start working. She knows the financial pressure that racing is putting on Dad, as we have never had any sponsors. We want to thank Wayne Heasman Racing especially David Du Toit, who since Loumari’s 150cc days looked after her bike. After that he prepared her SV650 bike for two years and introduced her to the Suzuki GSXR600 class. All of this was always done at no cost to us. We had some good racing partners in the 150cc days. The Spanenbergs Paula, Sakkie, Loodre and Charne. Loumari and Charne were a formidable Ladies team in the 150cc Cup. Both of them finishing in the top 10 in a strong field of 30 boys. Loodre Spanenberg and Brent Harran, I will never forget one afternoon late when they were showing the two girls on the track how to be aggressive and what to do when bumping happens. Niel Harran and us always had good times at Phakisa weekends. The last two years we want to thank Nicholas Kershaw from Race Bike Rentals for his assistance and help. We could see the difference in Loumari’s racing and big improvements at every track. Last but not least, Willie and Angela Van Aswegan, Nicole and Ryan (my nick name for him “Engelsman”) thanks for all your assistance, company and fun over the last two years. We want to thank all the competitor’s and their families for all the good times on and off the track, we are really going to miss it. We are still going to do some track days and Loumari is going to do National Drag Racing on a Wayne Heasman Racing Suzuki 1000cc next Year. Cheers All.
