It is with great sadness we say goodbye to Bill Reynolds, one of our long time volunteers and golf donor. Many, many of our military members loved receiving the golf clubs and accessories that Bill collected and distributed to our troops, both to take on deployments, and to enjoy back at home. He was in the center recently, and was planning a golf tournament to help with postage for our holiday packages. Several soldiers were able to come to Greenville over the years to golf with Bill and his buddies at Ironwood, and pick up some tips to improve their games. Bill always had a smile and a big bear hug for everyone. While we will miss him terribly, we are smiling at the thought of him playing the greens in heaven with the angels! America has lost a true Patriot. William L. Bill Reynolds, 78, died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Mr. Reynolds, son of the late Elsie and Lena Reynolds, grew up in Montgomery County, before moving to Greenville in the early 1970s. He attended East Carolina University and served in the United States Air Force. He retired as Vice President of Hannah & Dunn, Inc. Bill was an avid golfer and active volunteer for NCPacks4Patriots, and was a member of St. James United Methodist Church.
