It is with great sorrow and a heavy heart that I have to announce that our beloved Sharon Pederson passed yesterday. For those who knew Sharon, then you know that our quirky little breed has lost an amazing friend. We are certainly at a loss without her drive & ambition championing the Lundehund into the forefront of the American dog world. Below is an e-mail sent out by Dale Simmons...... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The angels came to take our lovely Sharon home with them around 2PM this afternoon. She had been ill all this year and slowly lost ground physically to a chronic lung infection not identified until just recently. But Sharon was always our independent, courageous, intelligent, kind (to those deserving such), whimsical, loving, articulate, helping, lady to the end. In her last letter to me, she signed it Spunky (my nickname for her). Her sister was sleeping with her at her mothers home and discovered about 3 AM that she was not breathing, so called 911. When taken to the hospital, she was immediately put on life support. At 2 PM, her wishes to never be put on life support were honored, in the company of her mother, two daughters , sister, son-in-law, and lover. In her memory, do a kindness to someone. I would appreciate no phone class for a day or two, and plan an Irish wake tonight. But you can share this email with others who knew and also cared for her. Love, Dale
