It is with great sorrow that we share the passing of our friend, Glenn Bohlander, long-time resident of 2 North at Allied Services Skilled Nursing & Rehab Center. Glenn was admitted in January 1998 as a result of complications from Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD).The compassionate care provided by our team of experts over the past 16 years has given Glenn the best quality of life possible. Despite his condition, Glenn swore he had the best life-- our staff arranged Glenns attendance at church functions, dinner out, baseball games, and even a special trip to see Cirque -- something he truly appreciated. We are equally proud of the fact Glenn was able to witness the teams recent national American Association of Respiratory Care (AARC) Quality Respiratory Care Certification designation. He loved the staff as much as they loved him. This poem says much about how we feel about Glenn: May your spirit soar in freedom From the fears that gripped so tight. May you find the peace you searched for As you wandered, lost, in the night. May your tortured mind be clear and calm And your tender heart be warm. May you have no need for strength now. May there neer be another storm. May the music of the angels Be the sweet sounds that you hear. As youre rocked in Heavens cradle May you neer shed another tear. Ill wear your memory proudly, My only brother...my true friend. May my love for you reach Heaven above Until we meet again.
