It is with heavy heart as we d staff of d Government Hospital Kenema suffer another big time tragedy as we mourn d demise of our dear sister and colleague staff by the name of Nurse Mary James ( she was d vein expect in d hospital) who was previously working at d pediatric unit and then later transferred to the maternity unit where she contracted d Lassa Virus in the discharge of her duties, About 5 days ago, she was antigen +ve (elisa for Lassa Fever) after a second sample was collected, ,eventually she was transferred to our unit ( Lassa fever Ward) to commence I|v ribararin just for her to kick d bucket very early this night. Aunty Mary sleep, sleep and take ur rest. RIP.
