It is with heavy hearts that T&J Towing announce the loss of Theresa’s mother, Genevieve "Jennie" McClinton. Visitation: St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church Date: Saturday, September 28, 2013 Time: 9:00 am Service: St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church Date: Saturday, September 28, 2013 Time: 10:00 am Mass Obituary Genevieve McClinton, better known as "Jennie", age 88, entered into rest on Tuesday, September 10, 2013. Jenny was born on March 14, 1925 to the late James and Amelia (Nee Smith) Stubblefield. Jennie was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and spent an hour every week in the Adoration Chapel. She loved her family, friends, and reading. She became a homemaker when she and her loving husband, the late Norman C. McClinton, Sr. were married and started their family. Jennie is survived by her loving family; Sons, Michael (Carol) McClinton of Hillsboro, John McClinton of DeSoto, Norman (Betty) McClinton, Jr. of DeSoto, Ralph (Jan) McClinton of DeSoto, Daughters, Rebecca (Paul) Childress of Festus, Barbara (Willie) Dowdy of Alabama, Sue (Mark) Polson of Wildwood, Theresa (Jeff) Pyrtle of DeSoto, 26 Grandchildren, 25 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Frank McClinton, a brother, Duane Stubblefield and 3 sisters, Irene Caldwell, Cecilia Stubblefield and Ruth Blackford. There will be a short Memorial Gathering at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and then Memorial Mass at 10:00 am. Fr. Alexander Anderson will officiate the Mass.
