It is with immense pride that we announce another cycle of the short Term employment program (STEP). Over 2500 individuals will be employed all in an effort to create opportunities for cash to flow within poor households. Many embrace the opportunity as it helps with expenses associated with the new school Year. The Saint Lucia Labour party recognizes the struggles of mothers preparing their children for school, and has provided $500 for every child entering Secondary School, (who applied) plus STEP to ease the financial strain.
