It is with sadness and a heavy heart that we convey the announcement of the loss of a colleague, mentor and dear friend in Munadia Karaan who passed on in the early hours of this morning. Munadia started part-time at VOC in 1995 and then full-time in year 2000. She VOC’s programme manager for 11 years until she took ill in 2010. She remained VOC’s webmaster until her passing. She will be sorely missed for her tenacity, her intelligence, investigative skills and single-handedly managing the news and programming departments for several years. Innaa lilaahie wa inna-ilayhie raajieoon. May Allah grant Munadia and all other deceased jannah Ameen and sabr and contentment in the hearts of her mother and father, the rest of the Karaan family, colleagues and friends Ameen.
