It is wonderful to see young faces expressing the passion of music as they play it. If you watch this, you might consider the point of view of the director - not of the orchestra but of the video. Such hard work goes into a live production like this - really knowing the musical score, planning each shot, using motion (trucking - place to place, panning - side to side, and proximity - zoom) to make the production more fluid and expressive than just a series of shots. And the producer and crew executing the plan full of difficult shots, keeping the subject in frame, keeping in focus - and all behind the scenes. Ive sat in the producers chair a few times in live productions - never a director - and it is a crazy thing to do on live TV. Crazy hard. Hats off to those people who make give us such pleasure with their talent and artistic prowess. Such teamwork is a model for us all - both directors and both crews!
